We at MilkshakeFromMars aim to share and celebrate the stories of women in science. We want to highlight what they have achieved in highly discriminatory academic and work environments. And what better way to do this than hear the stories directly from these women themselves! So, today we have for you our conversation with Jenny Nuo, a singer-songwriter who is using her music to highlight the experiences of Women in STEM.

Jenny Nuo is a 17 year old singer-songwriter, Kode with Klossy alum, and aspiring engineer from the Bay Area. Jenny has a passion for both the arts and the sciences, and finding the intersection between both these subjects.

This led her to integrate representation for Women in STEM in her music career. Stream her song print(“I’m so tired”) on Spotify now! Hear more about Jenny from her in our conversation about all things representation, diversity, music, and science!

Jenny Nuo: Singer-Songwriter and aspiring Woman in Science

Jenny’s story tells us that we don’t have to look, behave, act, or do anything in a particular way to be a member of the scientific community. Further, her work as an artist offers representation for women in science through music, which is a novel and beautiful means to amplify voices against the discrimination women in science face.
